Is the flight included? 

Flights to and from the destination are not included in the package, as we believe in giving each traveler the freedom to choose their preferred flight options. 

Who is the coordinator and what do they do?

The coordinator is a key member of our team, carefully selected for their passion for travel and ability to lead groups with enthusiasm and professionalism. They are responsible for the logistical planning, ensuring every aspect of the itinerary is meticulously organized. Their goal is to ensure a flawless experience for all participants. 

Why is there a coordinator? Having a coordinator provides peace of mind and security for travelers. Their knowledge of the destination and problem-solving skills ensure the trip runs smoothly, allowing participants to relax and fully enjoy the experience. 

In addition to their logistical role, the coordinator also actively participates in the activities of the trip. 

Is there an age limit? Are the WODs for everyone?

There is no age limit on our trips, meaning people of all ages are welcome to join us. However, it is important for each participant to understand that these trips are not just about sightseeing; they also include specific fitness training sessions. 

Therefore, participants should be prepared and capable of engaging in physical activities at their own level. As we know, each workout (WOD) is adaptable and can be modified to meet the needs and abilities of each individual. 

Do I have to go alone?

 You will never travel alone with AMTRAP!

You can sign up either solo or with anyone you want: a friend, partner, group of friends, or boxmates. Everyone is welcome on our adventures, and you will always end up becoming part of a great community of crosstraviesos!

Who will I sleep with and where?

The rooms in our trips can vary in capacity, from doubles to groups of more than four people, depending on the destination and availability. You will share the room only with other AMTRAP participants, and in some accommodations, the bathroom may be shared with other guests. If you prefer more privacy, we also offer the option of a single room with an additional supplement (not available at all destinations).

Can I meet my fellow travelers before the trip?

Unfortunately, for privacy reasons, we cannot provide the identities of other travelers before the trip. However, don't worry! 15 days before departure, we will create a WhatsApp group where you can start getting to know each other and share pre-trip excitement.

TRIP BOOKING

What are the payment options ?

If you book your trip more than 50 days in advance, you can pay in two installments: a deposit (50% of the total) at the time of booking. And the remaining balance (50% of the total) to be paid no later than 50 days before the departure date.

If you book the trip less than 50 days before the departure date full payment is required at the time of booking.

For example, if you book an €800 trip 4 months in advance, you can pay a €400 deposit and the remaining €400 up to 50 days before the departure date.

What payment methods are available?

You can make your payment through our website using a credit or debit card, Bizum, or bank transfer.

What happens if the group I signed up for doesn't come together?

If the trip you booked does not reach the minimum number of participants, we will offer you an alternative departure or fully refund the amount you paid.

How does the cancellation option work?

Our cancellation policy ensures that you will receive a refund of the tour package value if you need to cancel your trip. 

The refund amount will depend on the number of days remaining before the trip date. 

No refunds will be issued within the last 30 days prior to departure.

When will I find out if the trip is confirmed?

The trip is confirmed once the minimum number of participants has been reached (varies depending on the destination).

Once the minimum number is reached, Amtrap will inform participants of the trip confirmation.

 

When should I book my flights?

We suggest booking flights only after receiving the confirmation of the trip from Amtrap.

Is it possible to book a trip exclusively for a group of people?

Of course it is!

The trip

I have allergies or special dietary requirements, can I still join the trips?

Absolutely! Once the trip is confirmed, we will share a medical form with you that all travelers must complete, indicating any restrictions we need to take into account. 

What luggage should I bring?

On our adventure trips, the ideal option is to bring a backpack, which will make transfers easier and keep us ready for action at all times.

Plus, our community of crosstravellers lives with their backpacks on to go train!

Where and when will I meet the other amtravelers and my coordinator?

We will meet at the reception of the first accommodation in the afternoon, adjusting to the arrival time of your flight. If you arrive in the morning or late evening at the destination, don't worry, let us know, and we'll find the best solution for you.

We recommend choosing a flight that arrives in the morning or early afternoon on the start day.

In the evening, a very special welcome dinner awaits us. It will be the perfect time to meet your travel companions in person and receive more details about the itinerary and all the necessary information from the coordinator.

When will I receive the information about the trip?

The WhatsApp group will be created approximately two weeks before the start of the trip. Through this group, you'll have the chance to get to know your travel companions and the coordinator. We will also send you a detailed guide with all the necessary information for the trip, including the final list of accommodations and other useful details.

Do I need to bring a medical kit? What medications should I include?

Yes, it is advisable to bring a basic medical kit during the trip. Some common medications you might include are pain relievers like paracetamol, stomach remedies such as antacids and anti-diarrheal medications, motion sickness medication if you're prone to it, adhesive bandages, disinfectant, plasters, insect repellent, and any personal prescription medications you may need. It's important to tailor the kit to your specific needs and consider any pre-existing medical conditions. Remember to check travel restrictions and customs regulations regarding medications before packing.

Should I get travel insurance?

Absolutely! It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance before embarking on any adventure. This type of insurance provides protection and assistance in case of medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events that may arise during your trip. Additionally, some destinations may require travel insurance as an entry requirement.

It’s a good idea to have enough cash to cover small expenses, tips, and situations where cards may not be accepted. Additionally, it’s important to bring a credit or debit card as a backup for emergencies or for making payments at establishments that accept cards.
